Acupucture
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the
body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This
is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical
stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
The
meridians can be influenced by needling the acupuncture points;
the acupuncture needles unblock the obstructions at the dams,
and reestablish the regular flow through the meridians.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion
is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the
burning of mugwort, a small, spongy herb, to facilitate healing.
Moxibustion has been used throughout Asia for thousands of
years; in fact, the actual Chinese character for acupuncture,
translated literally, means "acupuncture-moxibustion."
The
purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional
Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow
of qi, and maintain general health.

Electro - Acupuncture
Electroacupuncture
is an acupuncture technique that, comparatively speaking, has
only recently come into use. Some scholars believe
electroacupuncture was first used by physicians in France and
Italy as far back as the early 1800s. Others attribute its
discovery to Japanese scientists in the 1940s who were
interested in making bone fractures heal more quickly. Still
others claim that electroacupuncture wasn't really developed
until 1958, when acupuncturists in China began experimenting
with it as a form of pain relief.

Auricular Accupuncture
Auricular
acupuncture is the stimulation of acupuncture points on the
external ear surface for the diagnosis and treatment of health
conditions in other areas of the body.
The ear holds a
microsystem of the body, consistent with the brain map
discoveries of Canadian neuroscientist Wilder Penfield. Dr.
Penfield found that maps of the body exist on the surface, or
sensory cortex, of the brain.
This same brain map is also
projected onto different areas of the body, “microsystems”, and
in particular precision, onto the ear.

Cupping
Cupping
is an ancient Chinese method of causing local congestion. A
partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by
means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues.
When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes,
blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place.
Cupping is the best deep tissue massage available. Cupping, the
technique, is very useful and very safe and can be easily
learned and incorporated into your family health practices.
